For years, Amica Group has been committed to innovation and digitalisation. The latest project involved completing the migration to SAP S/4HANA at the Scandinavian company Gram A/S, part of Amica Group. This is a significant step in the digital transformation process and a way to adapt in a dynamic business environment.
Digital transformation at Amica Group will encompass a total of 10 companies across Europe. It requires the coordination of multiple systems, including key SAP solutions (business process management software) such as SAP ECC and CRM. The preparation process involved selecting optimal next-generation solutions through combining market analyses with internal prototype tests (Proof of Concept), which enabled the maximisation of business benefits. The implementation of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Service Cloud at Gram A/S is another step in this strategic process.
- For years, we have been investing in modern and efficient technologies. The company's strategy is based on selecting cost-optimal solutions and introducing the latest technologies. Completing the migration to SAP S/4HANA at Gram A/S represents a significant phase in our digital transformation program. It not only confirms our commitment to innovation but also demonstrates our ability to adapt and strive for higher operational efficiency, says Paweł Biel, Vice President of Digitalisation at Amica Group.
This implementation is the first of several projects that will result in the migration of Poland’s oldest SAP ECC system to S/4HANA. The transition to SAP S/4HANA will not only improve data quality and further optimise processes but also open doors to new opportunities such as PP/DS and a new material ledger, which will be realised in subsequent projects. SAP systems in GRAM cover all aspects of the commercial company's operations, including product service support, ensuring comprehensive support for key business processes.
The project at Gram A/S was conducted according to standard methodologies, with the involvement of business resources and employees from the Digitalisation Division of Amica S.A. Significant roles were played by the management of Gram and Amica Group.
The digital transformation at Amica Group is planned for several years ahead. It includes not only migration to the latest ERP and CRM solutions from SAP (i.e., S/4HANA and Service Cloud) but also the implementation and continuous development of other systems, such as SAP IBP, SAP SAC, SAP FSM, and SAP H4S4. All of this is supported by a flexible organizational culture, investments in talent and skills, and a continuous pursuit of operational excellence.
The completion of the migration to SAP S/4HANA at Gram A/S is proof that Amica is a company ready for the challenges of the modern market.
- Amica is one of the first companies in the Polish market to decide on implementing SAP software. For nearly 30 years, I have observed how it not only uses data for making informed business decisions but also how effectively it invests in integrating modern technologies and practices with processes, systems, and organizational culture. What distinguishes Amica is its courage in looking to the future – that is precisely the key to maintaining a competitive edge. The recently completed migration to SAP S/4HANA at the Scandinavian subsidiary of Amica Group not only marks an important stage in the digital transformation process but is also a testament to the ongoing pursuit of innovation, higher operational efficiency, and better customer experience, says Michał Ciuraszkiewicz, Sales Director at SAP Poland.
