Amica Group, a leading European manufacturer of household appliances, has received further prestigious accolades. Among the latest awards are the Capital Market Hero ESG, the ESG Leaf from Polityka, and the ESG Company of the Year award from Gazeta Finansowa. These awards serve as a testament to the company's ongoing efforts in the areas of sustainable development, investor relations, and social responsibility.
During the ceremonial gala for the Capital Market Heroes 2024 awards, which took place during the WallStreet conference organised by the Individual Investors Association, the Amica Group won a statuette in the ESG category for companies outside the WIG20 and mWIG40 indices.
The title of Capital Market Hero is awarded by the Individual Investors Association, and the aim of the distinction is to recognise the contributions of companies, journalists, bloggers, and analysts who contribute to the development of the Polish capital market, thus promoting the highest standards of communication.
This honourable award, given for the second consecutive year, reflects recognition for the numerous ESG initiatives as well as the company's transparency and predictability in investment matters. Voters particularly appreciated the publication of the ESG strategy and the finalisation of a new long-term business strategy.
Amica Recognised by the Media
Amica Group was also among the distinguished companies in the 13th edition of the ESG Leaves from Polityka. This award is granted for activities promoting sustainable development. When making selections, companies are evaluated in three key ESG areas: environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G). The analysis is based on the guidelines of the ISO 26000 standard and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
Awarded companies, including Amica, implement high-quality solutions and disclose information related to their activities in the ESG field. This year, 98 organisations that operate in the spirit of sustainability applied for the awards, with 58 entities being recognised.
Sustainable development and social responsibility pose challenges and priorities for many companies in the coming years. The Amica Group has already been honoured with the title of Company of the Year by Gazeta Finansowa for its ESG strategy, which sets ambitious sustainability goals for the company in the environmental, social, and governance areas. The strategy covers four time horizons: 2025, 2030, 2040, and 2050, and its implementation is subject to cyclical evaluation and reporting in accordance with the annual reporting standards of the Amica Capital Group. Amica aims to be a sustainability-oriented European manufacturer of household appliances with a positive social impact.
"The awards are a tremendous honour and motivation for us to continue our work. They confirm that our efforts in sustainable development and care for investor relations are being noticed and appreciated. We are proud that our initiatives translate into tangible successes. The Amica Group is aware of the need to reduce the environmental impact of production and has consistently pursued more sustainable production practices for years, implementing initiatives from ecological workshops for primary schools to significant investments in modern technologies. A recent development of these initiatives was the establishment of the special-purpose company Amica Energia. A key objective is to minimise the carbon footprint of the energy used by the Amica Group and to increase the production of renewable energy for the group's needs," says Eliza Orepiuk-Szymura, PR Manager of the Amica Group.
Through these awards, the Amica Group demonstrates that its actions are recognised by esteemed media and organisations. These accolades not only highlight the importance of responsible business practices but also the commitment to building lasting relationships with investors and the communities in which the company operates.
