In September of this year, the month-long inaugural edition of Amica Sports Challenge kicked off. The challenge was open to all employees of the Amica Group, not only in Poland but also in international branches. Over 400 participants took part in the initiative, contributing to the collection of 75 thousand złoty, which the company donated to charitable activities.

During the month-long challenge, company employees who expressed their interest in participating used a dedicated sports application to record their physical activity. They had a choice of three disciplines: cycling, running, and walking. For each kilometer covered, the Amica Group donated a corresponding amount to charitable causes.

The winners of the challenge were the employees who achieved the top three results in the number of kilometers covered in each discipline - separately among women and men. The laureates received prizes in the form of Amica brand home appliances, such as vacuum cleaners, slow juicers, and jug blenders.

"Amica Sports Challenge was an exceptional endeavor that brought together all the companies in the group. Importantly, it was not just friendly competition but primarily a charitable action, demonstrating that together we can achieve remarkable results. The sum we raised is thanks to the employees who showed that work can be combined with passion and commitment to helping others," says Maja Rutkowska, HR Director at the Amica Group. "I believe that the noble cause for which the funds were donated was an additional driving force for employees to cover more kilometers than usual," she adds.

After the awards ceremony, representatives of the Amica Group, along with the challenge winners, held joint discussions to determine the institutions to which the collected funds should be directed. It was agreed that the beneficiaries would be: Social Welfare Home in Chojna, Social Welfare Home in Nowa Wieś, Clinic and Department of Hematology and Marrow Transplantation at the Clinical University Hospital on Szamarzewskiego Street 84 in Poznań, and the Psychiatry and Youth Clinic of the Clinical Hospital named after Karol Jonscher of the K. Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań.

For years, the Amica Group has been involved in initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and teamwork. Amica Sports Challenge is another initiative taken in this direction, uniting the corporate community this time.
