Representatives from the Amica Group, a leading European manufacturer of home appliances, conducted sessions for students at the University of Economics in Poznań (UEP) as part of the Leaders and Leadership School (SLL) programme. This seven-month initiative aims to develop students' professional competencies and was organised in collaboration with companies associated with the UEP Partner Club, with Amica being a key partner.

During the sessions, PR manager Eliza Orepiuk-Szymura and Zdzisław Wiese from the marketing department introduced the participants to Amica's business model and operations. The presentation focused on the group's international activities and ESG strategy. Additionally, Katarzyna Dawidek, the Purchasing Director, delivered a lecture on business collaboration with China, including insights on the Chinese branch of Amica. These meetings provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a large enterprise, which is invaluable for their future careers.

Amica’s involvement in the SLL programme continues its ongoing collaboration with the University of Economics in Poznań. The company actively supports business education for students, believing that investing in future managers and employees with economic education will benefit not only Amica but also the entire Polish economy. Evidence of Amica's commitment to education includes its continued sponsorship of free access to the “Puls Biznesu” publication for UEP students and lecturers.

“We are very proud of our collaboration with the University of Economics in Poznań and the Leaders and Leadership School programme. Participating in such initiatives allows us not only to share our experience and knowledge but also to inspire young people to act dynamically and responsibly in business. Our commitment to developing students' professional competencies is an investment in the future, benefiting both programme participants and the job market, not just in Poland. The sessions demonstrated that students are already interested in the international market, as they asked numerous questions about Amica's brands sold in various countries worldwide. We believe that practical knowledge will facilitate students' entry into their professional careers,” says Eliza Orepiuk-Szymura, PR manager at Amica.

The University of Economics in Poznań consistently ranks among the top Polish economic universities, preparing its students for roles as managers and directors. Collaboration with partners like Amica enables students to gain practical knowledge and a better understanding of the realities of their future profession.
