April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day, during which we want to draw special attention to the need for support and acceptance for people on the autism spectrum and their loved ones. At Amica Group, we know that education in this area is very important, which is why we have once again joined the Blue Wave initiative - a charity run and Nordic Walking march, which sailed through Poznań on March 30th, carrying an important social message.

The Blue Wave 2025 has over 1,300 registered participants who completed 5, 10 and 15 km routes in the Marcelin Forest and a one-kilometer MiniWave for children. Among them was a large, 75-person Amica team. This year we ran for Kindergarten No. 81 in Poznań.

Amica Group employees are eager to get involved in charity and social campaigns. We have no shortage of people with a passion for sports and a big heart. We are glad that this year we were able to represent Amica with such a large team – says Anna Rakowska, Manager of Employee and Social Projects at Amica Group.

Blue Wave is a charity run under the slogan "I run, I understand, I help", the main goal of which - apart from promoting physical activity - is social education in the field of autism spectrum. Since 2018, over 6,000 people have taken part in the event, and thanks to the entry fees, over PLN 180,000 have been donated to purchase specialist therapeutic equipment for Poznań facilities. Among the donations so far are, among others, equipment for world experience rooms, equipment for sensory integration therapy, modern teaching aids and garden gazebos conducive to relaxation.

Autism is a developmental disorder resulting from a malfunction of the nervous system. Although for years it was considered to affect mainly boys, today we know that it can affect girls and women equally. The symbol of solidarity with people on the spectrum has become the color blue, the theme of the entire event.

By joining the campaign, the Amica Group expresses its social sensitivity and supports activities aimed at building awareness, acceptance and counteracting social exclusion. Thank you for being with us and Blue Wave – see you next year!
